Friday Freebies – Oct. 29th

This week’s roundup includes a few weekend sales, a preview of Black Friday ads and some Halloween treats for the whole family.

I’m just getting used to the idea of Halloween and already the stores are in Black Friday mode. Sears has a super sale this weekend. Old Navy has cut prices as much as 60% online. Barnes & Noble is offering 20% off electronics this weekend for online sales. Just enter the code E3Y9H8N at checkout. Toys R Us is also in on the pre-holiday sale.

If you’re a big planner, you can already take a peek at the Black Friday ads here, here, here and here.

You should also check out Amazon’s Deals of the Day.

Family Dollar shoppers should like them on Facebook. That friendly gesture will score you a few coupons.

Spotted on Facebook: T.G.I.Friday’s is in the Halloween spirit. They have specials running from today through Sunday. Click here to see them.

From my inbox: Chipotle has partnered with Jamie Oliver to raise money for his Food Revolution program. If you show up at Chipotle on Halloween between 6 p.m. and closing time dressed as a processed food item, you’ll get a burrito for $2. You can read more about the event (and find a few costume ideas) here. You can find the nearest Chipotle location here.

Another Halloween treat: head to Sonic for a near-freebie. Corn dogs are just 50 cents from 5 – 10 p.m.

If you still haven’t carved your pumpkin, here are a few free templates.

Parents, if your kids haul in a whole lot of candy that you don’t want them to eat, why not sell it? Dr. Bob James (a dentist) is taking part in Operation Gratitude. The office will pay you one dollar per pound of candy and it will then be sent to the troops. The buy back is taking place here between 2-7 p.m. on November 1.

That’s all for this week. If you want to share a tip, send an email to nperez@ksat.com with “Friday Freebies” in the subject line.

  1. I’m sure this can be genuinely boring and you’re skipping towards the subsequent comment, but I just wanted to toss you a huge thanks, you cleared up some things for me!

  2. Seen what precisely the most recent info is located in Dallas? That’s been so magnificent.
