Friday Freebies – October 2nd

This week, I’m focusing on more ways to entertain yourself at home (for free, of course). But there are some other tips here as well. Check ’em out after the jump!

Parents, if you’re up to *here* in diapers, you might as well reap some rewards. The people at Pampers have some special offers (get points off those diaper and wipe labels and earn free stuff) or sign up here to get special offers in the mail or in your inbox.

Disney wants to get people to volunteer – and they’ll reward you for your good deeds. Spend a day doing volunteer work starting January 1, 2010, and you’ll get a free day at Disney! Read the details here.

It’s the 70th anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz” and the fine folks at Netflix will let you watch it free online all day Saturday. Click here to check it out (and watch out for those flying monkeys!). And if you’re itching to know why they’re doing this, read all about it here.

This is the first weekend of the South Texas MAIZE. Members of the military can get in free this weekend ONLY. Get the details here.

If you can’t make it to Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend, you can watch it from the comforts of your own home. Just go here. Check back on Monday for highlights from some of the big performers.

Pepsi will let you download the modern-day equivalent of a mixtape here.

That’s it for this week. If you want to share a tip, send an email to nperez@ksat.com with “Friday Freebies” in the subject line.
