Friday Freebies – February 13th

This week, I’ve found a few things to fill your belly and save a few bucks. There are also some tips good for a limited time, so hurry and see what’s out there before these ideas expire!

Looking to eat at home without breaking the bank? You might want to bookmark this blog. The writer has several recipes that won’t cost you a whole lot of money (some meals are less than $10)!

If you want to eat out, you might consider Earl of Sandwich. You can get a free kids sandwich with the purchase of a regular sandwich, wrap, or salad. (Limit one free kids sandwich per regular sandwich, wrap or salad) And if you place a really big order (over $50), and you’re within five miles of the restaurant, you can have your order delivered for free. If you’ve never eaten there, a sandwich will cost around $6.

You could also join EZ’s Restaurant Rewards Program. For every $100 you spend, you can get a $10 credit.

Are you one of those people who wants to know how to do just about everything? You might like this site. It has free how-to videos for just about any topic. And if you’re an expert on something, submit your video to share the knowledge.

If you’re looking for something fun tonight (or Feb. 27th), you might want to go to Retama Park. It’s 50 cent Friday! Admission is free and there are special prices for just about everything else.

Want to add a couple of cats or dogs to your home? Adopt a pair from the Animal Defense League and get free vaccinations for life. This offer, and a few others you can read about here, are good through the end of the month.

Make a donation to City of Hope and Post-it will send you a heart shaped sticky pad.

Need a little inspiration for Valentine’s Day? Go here for free ideas.

That’s it for this week. If you want to share a tip, send an email to nperez@ksat.com with “Friday Freebies” in the subject line.
