Friday Freebies – September 26th

This week’s freebies include snacks, stuff to entertain yourself and the kids, and the chance to win a $10,000 college scholarship!

If you haven’t tried those Bear Naked granola snacks, they’ll give you a free sample here.

If you like pasta but aren’t so good at making your own sauce, or don’t have the time to do it, go here for a free sample of microwavable sauce from Bertolli.

Is your smile lacking sparkle? Perhaps a sample of Crest Whitening Expressions will do the trick.

Murad will give you some free face products here.

If you use those plug-in things in your house, you can get a coupon to get one free (with purchase) by going to this site.

If you have never tried Resolve carpet cleaner, go out and get a bottle. If you don’t like it, they’ll give you your money back.

Here’s something for the kids: an invite to Geoffrey the Giraffe’s birthday party! It’s Saturday, September 27th, so set aside a few hours in the afternoon for some free fun. Find a location here.

If you don’t feel like hopping around network websites to see your favorite shows, check out Amazon Video on Demand! They’re not just offering TV shows – there are movies, too! The TV shows and some movies are free, some will cost you $3.99 or less.

Who knew Pearl Jam likes The Cubs? Download it for free here.

If you can’t make it to the Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend, you can watch some of it online for free.

I don’t usually post contests here, but this one is for the kids. Go here for information on how to apply for a $10,000 scholarship from Borders, Mental Floss and Merriam-Webster. You’ll have to sell yourself in an essay, but that’s one sweet scholarship. What do you have to lose?

That’s all for this week. I’ll have more free stuff and discounts next week. If you find a good deal, send it my way in an email (nperez@ksat.com).
