“Movies by Moonlight” is still going on at HemisFair Park. The next two weeks will get you in the Halloween spirit: October 22 – Frankenstein; October 29 – Jaws. The movies start at 8pm. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Concessions will be sold on sight. Parking is free on a first-come basis at the Alamo Street Lot near HemisFair Park and across from the Federal Courthouse at the Durango Street lots after 6pm.
If you don’t have plans for tonight, head out to UTSA’s Main Campus for free stargazing. It starts around 8:30. You can use UTSA’s telescopes to look at the stars – perhaps spot a planet? Just head to the four patio of the Science Building. If you’re not familiar with the campus, here’s a map.
Drop off last year’s Halloween costume at these locations and get 25% off at a Roy Maas Youth Alternatives Thrift Shop.
