Monday 9pm Update

Its been quite a day across San Antonio. Numerous car accidents were reported today most of them attributed to the rain across our area. The rain at 9pm is winding down because we are losing daytime heating. The rain chances will be back in the forecast tomorrow. We did have a few storms that briefly became severe around 7pm near the Edwards, Kinney and Uvalde county lines. Earlier today the frontage road at I-35 and Salado Creek was shut down as water was going over the road for a time.

Here is a look at the past 24 hours rainfall totals

Tomorrow appears to be the same with more scattered showers and thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall is expected through Tuesday Afternoon as daytime heating gets going again.

2.25″ reported by a viewer near the intersection of Wetmore and Thousand Oaks in San Antonio. Over 3 inches was called in by a viewer in Converse. The San Antonio Int’l AirportĀ  reported 1.84″ . Stinson Airfield on the southside of San Antonio reported 0.89″.
