Photoshop (Express) goes free
As reported by the crew over at Gizmodo, Adobe’s Photoshop Express was launched yesterday as a free beta.
While this program won’t allow you to do the major editing Photoshop allows you to do, this seems to be an easy way to work the basics such as red-eye removal, cropping, etc. I did a small 5-minute test using a picture I took of one of my dogs and it’s pretty easy to navigate. What I especially liked is the ability to see your changes immediately and revert back if you didn’t like them (yes, you can also do that in the regular photo editing programs, but this site isn’t for you now, is it?).
It’s a free, Flash-based program (if you’re browsing KSAT.com and have watched video here, you likely have Flash installed, but you might need to update). You will need to create an account, but it gives you 2GB worth of storage and the ability to link to other sites such as Facebook and Picasa (Gizmodo reports that a Flickr feature will be rolling out soon).
Give it a shot and show us (you can link your photos, too) what you’ve done using the site in the comments.
