Returning to the inbox backlog
I’m back from SXSW and just had to go through a ton of e-mail, so these are some of the stories that made my eyebrow shoot up.
- 1 In 4 Teenage Girls Has STD, CDC Says
- Not that I have any children, much less a daughter, but this is still scary in its own right.
- Just sit right back and you’ll read a tale, a tale of a fateful joint
- ”Mary Ann” from Gilligan’s Island pleads guilty to reckless driving to avoid charges of weed possession. I guess depending on your choice of recreational activities, this might alter the old Mary Ann vs. Ginger debate. If you’re into that sort of thing, we have a slideshow of celebrity mugshots for you to peruse.

While driving to work this afternoon, I was listening to NPR’s Talk of the Nation and they had an interesting topic. If you could travel back in time, where would you want to go and what would you want to see? One caller wanted to watch Jesus Christ, another guest wanted to go to the Battle of Gettysburg and another wanted to be around for the completion of the atomic bomb.
Interesting questions were raised that I wanted to pose to you readers as well. If you were to go back, would you want to let people know the consequences (positive and/or negative) of their actions? Would you interfere and essentially change history or would you simply observe to see if historians and journalists have indeed told the tale truthfully?
Where would you want to go? What would you want to see? Why? (I’m going to give the same one rule as NPR did — you can’t kill anybody). Leave a comment and let us know.
